I have a livejournal account. I actively wrote in it from 2001 to 2008. I have 7 years of my life in there. It’s fun to go back and read old entries. Since my birthday is coming up i figured it might be cool to copy and paste my ‘birthday’ entry from each year. ready?

happy birthday to me. well..TECHNICALLY you might say it was yesterday. but, i’ll say it’s today..since i haven’t gone to bed yet. my mom and dad got me a vcr. it’s cool. we went out to dinner to mr. b’s. yep, just me, mom, dad, austynn, christine, chris, and matt. it was good times… tomorrow me matt chris my mom and kathleen get to go to bingo. woowoo! i’m gonna win lotsa money!

2002:

today i am nineteen, yeah. it feels the same as eighteen…except now i’m legal to drink in canada. that is a HUGE big thumbs up.

today i went in to work for a couple hours. nicholas was back today…and…he was more bratty than ever. luckily i got to come home. good birthday gift from childrens world! cole only comes in on monday tuesday and wednesdays…i love cole. i wish he was there every day. he’s the coolest times ten.

next weekend is the UP! i feel really unorganized, like it’s still a month away. john wilbur! where are you?! well…if you’re reading this..we wanna leave on saturday like, after matt gets off work..so..oneish? but if that isn’t good for you we can do sunday. we can still take your car, right? i hope the weather is good up there. yowza, i’m hella excited!

so, canada on saturday. i’ll get drunk. it’ll be a good time. ya’ll should come.

my computer and the internet just isn’t as cool as it used to be. can you believe?! i lost interest in it.

i watched the used dvd today and jeez i love them. i’ll be seeing them for the first time EVER (just cuz i’m an idiot like that) at warped tour.
and i can’t wait (times 1000)

and i get to see 311 on thursday. yay yay yay yyay!

that wasn’t as entertaining as i hoped it’d be. it kinda just proved that i’ve always loved the booze! awkward!

i am a dweller.

I think it’s probably safe to say that I am pretty much alway dwelling.

i’ll keep this update short because my keyboard is a piece of shit buuuut the point of it is that i need to stop dwelling. I find myself thinking back on things that has happened not so far back in the past (GOOD things, things that made me happy at the time) and remembering little (pretty much pointless) details that weren’t perfect. and then I dwell on those stupid little details! am I some kind of masochistic perfectionist?

This whole realization goes along with my whole new ‘live in the present and be positive’ attitude.

I just re-read my blogs all the way back to november. After I stopped reading I began to wonder why I never have anything to write about anymore. And I think i’ve figured it out. I have nothing POSITIVE to write about. my old entries were always upbeat about the fun and genuinely good things happening. and now when I sit down and try to think of something to write about my head just fills with all the negative stuff. I dont feel any less happy now then when I was in amsterdam. But why don’t I ever have any good stories to share?

These last few weeks I have been on this ‘self improvement’ kick. I am mainly just trying to boost my self confidence. Also trying to be more social and stop dwelling on the things that bother me. maybe as all this self-improvement unfolds I will find more happy and lighthearted things to blog about? i hope.

until then, dont sweat the small stuff (and it’s ALL small stuff).

ohhhh yeah…. I have a blog!

I’m a ‘blogger’ with nothing to blog about. Soooo bear with me.

I am still without a car. Car shopping is difficult (especially when you are searching for a reliable car for under two grand). That’s all I have to say about that. I have been seeing car commercials for the Nissan Cube today. Its the ugliest friggen thing i’ve ever seen and i WANT one! (yeah yeah BUY AmERICAN! i hear ya) but lolz look at it:
